Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state, on Wednesday, donated N500 million to support the Sokoto State Government in rebuilding the state’s Central Market ravaged by fire on Tuesday, January 19, 2021.
BUT WHY? How could he do such a thing when Rivers people are suffering? This is the height of hypocrisy, carelessness, cluelessness, wickedness and insensitivity.
I’m a humanitarian, lending a helping hand to needy is one of my goals and priorities in life. But charity they say, begins at home. Get my points.
Why would Wike donate 500 million naira to Sokoto in the face of hunger and poverty in Rivers State? Has he settled the Ogoni people, the Andoni, Bonny, Kalabari, Okrika and the rest tribes that made up the state?
The funny thing is, he secretly donated Rivers funds to Sokoto and refused to broadcast/announce on his official media pages it as usual. Why? He no say he don fvck up big time. What a shame!!!
If not of Muhammad Bello, spokesman to governor Tambuwal who made the disclosure in a statement on Wednesday, it would have remain a secret. Perhaps he’s doing this for political reason…Vision 2023? Trading your people for it? Come on man!🤦
So all Wike a supposed Rivers son could do, is to fund our oppressors the for political ambition? WOW!
According to reports, the Rivers State governor said part of the donation was to also support the victims of the inferno. Noted that whatever affected Sokoto concerned Rivers, adding that his administration would ensure that the affected market was reconstructed and made functional.

With due respect Mr governor sir, you are an hypocrite in capital letters. You visited the Sokoto Central Market which went up in flames on Tuesday morning, expressed shock and dismay over the incident and donated 500M to them. That’s okay, but my question is,
🔴How many times have you visited Bonny LGA, express shock and dismay over the constant killing, kidnapping and sea piracy attacks on the Bonny waterways?
🔴How many times have you visited Ogoni, Opobo, Andoni and the rest to sympathize and donate to them on similar occurrences? Oh our lives don’t matter to you huh!
🔴When Orashi region of Rivers State was ravaged by flood, did Governor Wike respond or donate to them?
🔴Same state where pensioners and retirees are suffering, weeping and gnashing of teeth as they have not been paid their gratuities?
🔴How about the bursary paid to Rivers students, which is the culture and tradition that previous governments instituted and followed. He stopped it!
🔴Should I talk about the state minimum wage? Wike is a disaster!
I also heard that after inspecting the scene, Mr. Wike and his entourage paid a courtesy visit to the Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar in his palace. LMAO.
This is it! All political motivated. Political generosity. You may go down in history as the worst governor of Rivers State if you do not change your ways. It’s too late anyway…you have just two more years to take a bow. What are your achievements? Flyovers apparently. Zero human development.
