Closed mouths don’t get fed
Pastors are famous for saying a closed mouth is a closed destiny. Perhaps you grew up with the mentality that you don’t want to be needy or clingy, but it’s okay to have needs, standards and expectations - reasonable ones. It’s okay to expect to be babied and taken care of. Don’t form low maintenance and cheat yourself out of a fairytale romance.
Relationships are transactional
If there is no give and take in a relationship then it is parasitic. If you meet a good man you like, who wants to spoil you and show you to the world, don’t say no. Allow him to send you the money, pay for your spa date, buy you lunch etc and if it means being a freak in the sheets, then we are here to tell you, it’s okay.
Being a good girl doesn’t mean good things will come to you
If you believe in karma just know that bad things happen to good people, and that’s a fact of life. If you want to be good, do so without expecting anything on earth - perhaps a heavenly reward awaits you.
A bad past might have nothing to do with finding love
How many people know girls who had slept with virtually everyone on campus but immediately they graduated, they got married? Don’t think being a good girl means you will find love because you will be shocked.
Men love bitches
Let’s be honest, even if they want their women to have some sort of propriety and decency in the eyes of the public, men love to be with bitches, and that doesn’t mean a woman who is badly behaved but one who is assertive with what she wants - in life and bed. In the book, Why men love bitches by Sherry Argov, the author wrote, “He must feel that you choose to be with him, not that you need to be with him.”
No one said to be overtly troublesome as men want peace but be an independent, free-thinking woman because good girl no dey pay.
