The first runner-up in the 2020 Big Brother Naija (Lockdown edition), Dorathy Bachor, has advised women in toxic relationships to get out of them.
In an interview, the busty reality TV star addressed ladies, “You deserve better. Never sell yourself short. A toxic man will always be toxic, so put yourself together like the queens that you are and move on.”
Bachor also stated that acting is a part of her though she hasn’t taken it more seriously. She said, “Acting is actually one part of me that I have been nonchalant about but I am happy and very excited to feature in the movie, ‘Brotherhood’. The character I played is different from who I am. I am glad I was a part of such an amazing project. I cannot wait for it to be out in the cinemas.”
Speaking about running her lingerie line, Bachor said, “Being an entrepreneur is never an easy game. Running the business has taught me that the market is wider than social media reach. As a matter of fact 60 per cent of the market is outside social media, and there is a lot more work to be done. Also, it has taught me that consistency is important. The minute one takes a break, things can go wrong. One just has to keep pushing. That is why we aim to put out at least two or three collections every year. We have had about four (collections) in the space of 17 months, and we are still looking forward to greater things.”
Asked if she feels fans expect too much from reality TV stars, she said, “That is a general thing with public figures. Yes, fans expect too much at times but one is fully in control and responsible for one’s choices, so it is up to one.”
