Kogi is a state in the central region of Nigeria. It is popularly called the Confluence State because of the confluence of River Niger and River Benue at its capital, Lokoja, which is the first administrative capital of modern-day Nigeria.
COVID-19 Case In Nigeria
On February 27th 2020, Nigeria confirmed its first case of COVID-19, an Italian man who came in from Milan.
Since then the country has recorded 26,484 cases, discharged 10,142 patients and lost 603 patients according to numbers released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
COVID-19 Case In Kogi State
As of 25 May 2020, a total of 8,068 cases of COVID-19 were recorded in 34 of Nigeria’s 36 states, as well as in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Only two states had no officially recorded cases at the time; Kogi and Cross River State. Because the governors of both states refused to allow testing for the virus.
Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State stated in a video posted on his Facebook page on March 25 that 90% of the noise about COVID-19 is for political, economic, financial or material gain.
That the other 10% relates to ordinary flu, like the common colds Nigerians generally suffer.
After much pressures from the NCDC and the federal government, the governor claimed that the state has a software (App) to help keep track of possible cases in the state.
On 27 May, exactly three months after COVID-19 first case was recorded in the country, 2 cases were discovered in Kogi which the state government debunked and deny instantly.
Some weeks later NCDC recorded another 3 cases, making it 5 cases in total. Could you believe since then till date no new case has been recorded in Kogi state?

All 36 states including the FCT that is a mile away from Kogi state had recorded thousands of COVID-19 cases. Kogi with over 3 million populations are still on 5 cases? Are they immune to the virus or vaccinated already?
