GOOD DECISION or FOOLISHNESS? Cameroonians Set To Boycott Nigerian Music In Cameroon – Warns DJs To Stop Playing

0

A Cameroon Artiste Stanley Enow tells DJs to stop playing Nigerian songs at private party, clubs and every other occasions.

“I love you all, but you have to stop playing Nigerian songs for hours and hours” he said.

The argument has been on trend in the Cameroon entertainment industry. Many have complained of the constant use of Nigerian songs in Cameroonian clubs and and parties.

Cameroonian entertainers have increasingly grown frustrated as they continuously argue that entertainers in the country never recieve the support they deserve.

In most occasions, Cameroonians are quick to join foreigners to bash on the Cameroonian entertainers.

MY THOUGHTS:

Black lives can only matter when we blacks will learn how to love ourselves. Imagine a black man asking his fellow black men not to play another black man music because he is from Nigeria,(another black nation). We really hate ourselves.

Music is the song of the soul and it connects with the spirit,it knows no tribe, no nation etc. I vibe to Swahili songs even when I don’t understand the lyrics. I have them in my phone too.

Cameroon songs be like “Tumbu tumbu burst calabash”. Who will want to dance to such in a club?

Cameroon entertainers should step up their game! Back in the days there was no afrobeats in Nigeria but Makossa.
And Nigerians never complain that makossa was played everywhere in their clubs until Nigerian Artistes worked harder to change the game.

I’m still trying to figure out why other African countries hate Nigeria so much. What have we done to them!

What’s your take on this?
