The Academic Staff Union of University (ASUU) has called off its 10-months-old strike following demands almost fully met by the Federal Government.
Some days ago, the Federal Minister of Labour and employment, Dr Chris Ngige announced that the Federal Government has met with 98% demands of the union.
The union finally agrees to call off its 10-month-old strike following an agreement reached in the early hours on Wednesday morning after eight-hour close door meeting of negotiations between both parties.
In a recent post by ASUU on their Twitter page, the union confirmed that the strike is conditionally suspended.
“#BREAKING: ASUU suspends 10months strike conditionally. Congratulations to all undergraduates. #ASUU,” it wrote.
