Have You Ever Thought Of Gaining Overnight/Instant Fame? – Try And Join The Big Brother Naija Reality TV Show
Majority of the ex-Housemates that have graced the show before the show were relatively unknown people but while in the house established themselves as extremely famous people. E.g Efe, Miracle, Ceec, Mercy, Laycon, Vee and many more.
Meanwhile, there are loads of musicians who have been grinding really hard in their various crafts in the media for years but have fame that is not as huge as what the ex-BB Naija housemates have.
Should they swallow their pride and join the show even if it’s not for the price?
Top 10 Artistes That Deserve More Fame Than Big Brother Naija’s Laycon:-
Note:- This write up is not targeted at defaming or attacking the subjects. It only portrays the writer and editor’s opinion
This list is in no particular order!!!
Sean Tizzle
The “Shole” crooner had his fame for only about two years but it never should be that way.
For someone who gave us one of the finest music albums in Nigerian history, Sean Tizzle should still be popping hard.
Imagine having Mercy, Ike, Tacha, Laycon and the likes having more influence than Sean Tizzle. It’s a shame!
Reekado Banks
An embodiment of talent is who this young man is, however, he does not command the pulling power some of the ex-BBN housemates command.
Social media-wise, he isn’t even as powerful as the BBN stars which originally shouldn’t be because his growth in the entertainment industry has been down to sheer diligence.
Just last month, he suffered a social media disgrace from Wizkid for building anticipation of his track with the Starboy. But instead of the song to blow, the Tweet went far than the song and even the artiste. #ShAmE
QDot
No doubt – Qdot is the most consistent indigenous singer in the Nigerian music sphere
He has managed to rise, release at least a hit song since his debut hit “Alomo Metta” in 2013.
What do you expect of a struggling artiste who released his album “Alagbe” during the rave of Top artiste’s supremacy fights
Brymo
When you talk of the few Artistes who understand music as a whole, it would be extremely disrespectful not to mention the brand as the Top 5.
Brymo’s music is a mixture of fuji, R&B, pop and rock. Brymo’s music is an “affirmations of deep-rooted personal ideology, enigmatic and beautiful lyrical poetry, equations of balanced ribaldry and cheekiness”.
After a massive 7 studio albums, the Nigerian music sphere still celebrates Brymo more than Laycon, Winner of maiden season of BBNaija show.
Korede Bello
The Mavin singer’s fame was instantaneous and huge, however, it faded out quickly.
Korede Bello has one of the biggest singles (Godwin) in the history of African music and still deserves to be a force to reckon with.
But how can it go well for him in terms of fame when Big Brother is creating yearly very big stars?
Dotman
2016 is a year Dotman will forever remember following his introduction.
Although he might have started music way longer than then but Dotman gave us the type of music we wanted to listen to.
He rose above expectation even when the BBNaija season show resurrected again. He should be named the biggest revelation of that yar instead of Efe who won.
Lil Kesh
If anyone should have committed suicide from music, Lil Kesh would be one of those who on the top list.
Dude is like a seed, he keeps fading and waking himself up over again. He deserves more than the fame and attention given to Laycon.
Serves us extremely big monstrous hit and never got the attention deserved. Nigga made the 2 biggest whales of the industry clash over and award. He definitely deserves to be celebrated than this season’s BBNaija show at large.
Barry Jhay
Although, he is always quite most of the time, even when he drops new projects. But his good works speaks more for him.
Barry Jhay is most likely a successor of Wande Coal when it comes to singing with extremely sonorous and melodious vibes. Barry Na Best – No Cap
What did we do? we have never for once appreciated his work and Laycon would definitely die to get this dude lift a chorus for him!
Dice Ailes
With “Miracle” in 2016, “Ella” and “Otedola” in 2017, more classy hits from this dude, Dice Ailes should enjoy more fame than he currently is.
He is a pretty versatile artist who don’t have a specific genre. He started off rapping, and have served us more than we asked for.
We should learn to appreciate artistes like this more!!!
Davolee
When we talk of under dogs in indigenous raps, Davolee has outdone all his peer and more – NO CAP
Story telling part of rap would have been long dead, thanks to this amazingly flexible, and versitile artiste. His ability to sing and rap is second to none
Judging from story telling side, “Festival Bar” is a vibe, talk of Motivation wise, “Way” is good to go. “Lock Up” will open your eyes.
