Why Do People Wait For Their Parents or Loved One To Die Before Renovating or Set Up A New House In The Village?🤔
I’ve noticed one funny thing about Africans, especially we Nigerians. We honor the dead more than the living.
We don’t mind donating 100 million naira to give our loved one a befiting burial but cannot give same person ordinary 1K naira to buy food to eat or money for medicines while alive.
Some people will never take good care of their parents while alive. They’ll abandon them in the village and be flexing in the city..showing off, doing Giveaway on social.
They will never set up a good structure (House) in the village. But the moment their parents or loved one is no more,(dead) they’ll began to renovate the old buildings or build a new mansion worth millions.
Some people can travel all the way from Canada, UK or US for a burial ceremony but cannot travel from Lagos to Oyo to see their sick suffering parents or loved ones.🤔
WHY? Why is it so?
