Tanzania President John Magufuli, has announced that Churches won’t be closed down by his government over coronavirus pandemic.
Magufuli made this known on Sunday saying Churches are the only places where healing can be found.
“These Holy places are where God is. My fellow Tanzanians, let us not be afraid of going to praise Him,” he said.
Speaking during a Church service he attended, Magafuli told the congregation that coronavirus cannot survive in the body of Christ.
“Corona cannot survive in the body of Christ, it will burn. That is exactly why I did not panic while taking the Holy communion,” he added to the cheer of the congregation.
Tanzania has so far confirmed 12 cases of the virus.
