We Will Hunt Down Their Children – Nnamdi Kanu Threatens Police

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has threatened the Police in Abia state, especially the Commissioner of Police, Ene Okon, and his commanders.

In a statement posted on his Facebook page, Nnamdi Kanu wrote that the children of the officers will be hunted down if they kill anyone at his parent’s burial next week:

"If Inspector Okon and his commanders come to my father’s house to kill anyone on 14th February 2020 at my parents’ burial, we will hunt down their children."

CP Ene Okon is the commissioner of police for Abia State who was transferred from Ebonyi State in February shortly before the 2019 general polls.

In 2019, Okon threatened to arrest Mazi Nnamdi Kanu if he steps into Abia State.

Earlier in the week, the commissioner of Police, said officers will be deployed to the burial of Nnamdi Kanu’s parents and will arrest any IPOB member or

members who would attend the burial as a group or anyone bearing any uniform or insignia relating to Biafra or IPOB,

stressing that IPOB has been proscribed in Nigeria by the Federal Government.
