‘Nigerians Lives In Fear ’- Shehu Sani Laments Burning Of 10 Family Members


Former Kaduna lawmaker, Shehu Sani has condemned the burning of 10members of a family to death by bandits in Kaduna state.

Reports has it that 10 members of a family were on Wednesday burnt to death by bandits who invaded Bakali village in Fatika District, Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The bandits were said to have invaded the community at about 4:00 pm, locked up members of the family and set their house ablaze

Reacting, Sani described the incident as tragic even as he lamented that Nigerians are living in fear.

The former lawmaker added that Nigeria is currently experiencing ceaseless funerals.

On his Twitter page, he wrote:

“The report that bandits locked, burned and roasted 16 people alive in Giwa lg, Kaduna state is tragic and condemnable.

“We live in times of perpetual fear and serial mourning.

Sani added that “The nation is tragically in a ceaseless funeral, as the tears of one family dry up, that of another gush.

”This recent tragic event is coming barely 48 hours after 30 persons were killed by Boko Haram insurgents at Auno village in Konduga, Borno State.
